On the 28mm test the NEX 7 with tamron lens does look best (I’ve played around with that lens and didn’t really rate it, much prefer the Sony 18-200 even though it’s quite a bit bigger). Looks like the 55-210 is better than the tamron at 300mm though.
On the E-M5 at 300mm the mzd 40-150mm and Leica 40-150mm looks equally as good, but the colour doesn’t look as nice as the Sony, that said it could be to do with the air quality and temperature when the shots were taken.

The typical print from a 4/3rd camera would be 4x5, a more typical size from the older studio medium format film cameras. The only major independent manufacturer currently making 4/3rd lenses is Sigma, and they do not offer most of their line in this mount. Traditional 35mm cameras produced a 3:2 format (which we typically call 4x6 because most labs produce that size of prints). In an attempt to compete with the well established Big Boys, Olympus, Panasonic & Leica now offer a new lens mount, where lenses can be interchanged among brands. The 4/3rd system is also new to most people. Since most people will go ahead and make smaller prints in 4x6 size, they'll The only problem is that Olympus is the only real line from these three, while Leica is now offering two lenses total, and Panasonic....
I have had countless adventures doing macro hunting throughout my limited time with the lens (spent almost a year with it), and I have learned a great deal about macro and photography in general through this lens. It has 2:1 magnification ratio (when used on 4/3 sensor), captures amazing details and sharpness , has really realiable autofocus even shooting at close distance, yet was so reasonably priced, possibly the cheapest fully digital and autofocus... Spending time looking through old photographs I have made in the year 2009, I cannot help but to marvel at the capabilities of the 35mm macro lens. Seriously, pick up macro photography, then Those of you who have not picked up macro photography, do not even dare to brag about technicalities and mastering the camera controls....
To be honest I had been feeling a little unimpressed with the range of Canon lenses on offer, not that they to don't perform well and create great images as they do.
